President Barack Obama has increased the number of refugees being allowed into the US. Many of these refugees are Muslims from countries like Syria. No one can be certain if there are any Islamic terrorists hiding among the refugees.
Do you know which U.S. state took in the most refugees this year? My guess would have been California. However, the answer is Nebraska!
Nebraska took in a whopping 1,441 refugees, according to the U.S. State Department Refugee Processing Center. Out of those 1,4441 refugees, do you know just how many of them were Syrian? 118 were from Syria.
Gov. Pete Ricketts joined other governors in calling on President Barack Obama to suspend all Syrian refugee resettlements, citing security concerns in the wake of several ISIS related terrorist attacks.
The supporters of refugee resettlement say the screening process for all refugees coming to the U.S. requires thorough background checks and that Syrians are subject to additional security screenings.
