Amidst all of the liberal protests still taking place across America saying that this is not their America and Trump is not their president, there needs to be a protest saying ‘I want MY America back!!!’
My America goes back to a time when many politicians were still respected and placed the will of the people ahead of their personal agendas.
My America started every day in school with prayer and then standing, placing right hand over the heart and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, including the line ‘one nation under God’. Teachers were still respected and actually taught us to read, write, add, subtract and more. We were taught American history, flag etiquette and respect for others. If you didn’t learn, you were failed. If you misbehaved, you were spanked at school and in my case, again at home. It was common for most boys to have a pocket knife with them. In high school, it was also common to see a gun rack with one or two guns in the cab of pickup trucks parked on campus.
My America still respected authority figures. Dads, law enforcement officers and clergy. They were portrayed on television as respectful and smart men, instead of the bumbling idiots they are portrayed to be today.
