Over the years, many politicians have attached riders or amendments to totally unrelated bills in order to fund pet projects for special constituents. Then you also have the National Science Foundation who uses taxpayer money to fund useless studies.
In the past, I’ve written about some of these ridiculous studies that were nothing but a waste of taxpayer money along with other means of wasteful spending by our believed out-of-control federal government. Sadly, both Democrats and Republicans are just as guilty about out-of-control and wasteful spending.
Under the leadership of Barack Obama, the White House spent $227,000 a year for calligraphers when a computer can do it just as well and a whole lot cheaper. The White House was also paying someone over $100,000 a year to walk the presidential pooch. Talk about a cushy job.
Let’s not forget the over $100 million the Obama’s have spent of taxpayer money for their many vacations. Vice President Joe Biden cost US taxpayers $585,000 for a one-night stay at Paris luxury hotel.
