The United States Army is preparing to carry out their first execution in nearly 50 years, but are they executing the wrong person? Perhaps there is someone else more deserving of being executed?
In December 1986, the nude slain body of 18-year-old Tammy Cofer Wilson was discovered by her husband, then Army Private Troy D. Wilson. Tammy’s sister, Honey Rosalie Schlehuber, was 12-years-old at the time of her sister’s death and she recalled that night, saying:
“I was in the back of the house when I heard my entire family scream and cry. It was so loud, all the screams. I will never, ever forget the cries as my mom and dad found out what happened to her.”
“This is not just something you get over. It’s having to lie to someone when they ask what happened to your sister. To this day I can’t speak of it without tears.”
